FAQ:

What if I still owe money on my car?

If you have a lien on your car, we’ll contact your lien holder to facilitate a payoff. In order to pay off your lien, we’ll need the following:
1. Your lien holder’s name and contact information
2. Your lien account number

What do I need to bring with me to trade-in my car?

1. Your car's title or payoff information. All registered owners should be present. NOTE: If there are two registered owners, both must be present unless their names are joined by "or" on the title. In that case, either person can be present.
2. Valid state-issued photo ID for all registered owners.
3.  Please bring any extra keys, accessories, and service records with you if possible.

What if I owe more on my car than the trade-in value?
If your payoff amount is more than the trade-in value for your car, the difference is called "negative equity." The negative equity is paid to Auto Advantage and we will pay off the remaining balance of your loan.

Do I need an appointment?

How do I get credited or paid?
The trade-in value of your vehicle is deducted from the balance owed on the car your buying. If your trade-in is worth more than the car your buying, you will receive a Wells Fargo Business check for the difference.

Do I have to go to the DMV or smog my car?
There is no need to smog your car before bringing it in. We handle all DMV paperwork for you, so no need to go to the DMV.
